BELPRE, Ohio — Still perfect.
The Southern golf team improved to 3-0 in league matches this fall following a solid effort of 188 at Oxbow Country Club Tuesday against host Belpre in a Tri-Valley Conference Hocking Division matchup in Washington County.
The Tornadoes had four golfers post sub-50 rounds en route to a winning team tally of 188. The Golden Eagles, on the other hand, had only three golfers participate and therefore did not have enough players for a team tally.
Tanner Thorla led SHS and golfers with a medalist effort of 45, followed by Jarrett Hupp with a 47. Jensen Anderson and Jonah Hoback each fired matching rounds of 48 to wrap up the winning tally.
Ryan Acree and Eli Hunter also had respective efforts of 55 and 57 for the guests.
Maddie Roby and Jeremiah Stitt paced Belpre with identical rounds of 50, followed by Hunter Gilbert with a 51.
Southern returns to action Thursday when it hosts Eastern and Miller in a TVC Hocking match at the Meigs County Golf Course at 4:30 p.m.
