POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. — The Mayor’s Night Out Concert Series returns to Point Pleasant Riverfront Park this Friday and continues through Friday, Aug. 26.
All concerts begins at 8 p.m. Fridays, with the exception of the June 24 shows (details listed below), and all take place in the amphitheater at Riverfront Park. There will be no concerts July 1 or Aug. 12 due to the Point Pleasant Regatta and Mason County Fair taking place, respectively.
“We are very excited once again to have such great talent from throughout our area to perform at the riverfront park,” Mayor Brian Billings said. “We look forward to a very exciting concert season.”
For the past several years, Point Pleasant City Council has passed motions to pay for the free concerts, giving back to the community and utilizing the riverfront park in the process. Concessions are also sold during the shows.
This year’s itinerary of performers is as follows: 8 p.m., this Friday, C.C. Miller performs country rock and blues music; 8 p.m., June 17, 542 performs classic rock; June 24 at 7:45 p.m. Pop Friction takes the stage followed at 9 p.m. by Blue Z Band, both performing radio rock and pop rock music; 8 p.m., July 8, Praise and Worship performs gospel music; 8 p.m., July 15, Paul Doeffinger performs original songs and popular singer songwriter hits; 8 p.m., July 22, C.C. Miller returns for country, rock and blues performance; 8 p.m., July 29, Mason Dixon and Backwoods Brotherhood performs country music; 8 p.m., Aug. 5, Four Ever Blessed performed gospel music; 8 p.m., Aug. 19, Modock Rounders performs classic country and classic rock music; 8 p.m., Aug. 26, Two River Junction performs country music.
