Racine teen remains missing nearly a month after initial report

POMEROY — The case of a missing Racine area teen remains an open investigation according to the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office.

Xavier Scott Cooper, 17, was reported missing on Feb. 15.

Christopher and Sarah Cooper of Racine, reported to the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office that Xavier had left their residence between 3 and 6 a.m. on Feb. 15 and was believed to be traveling with his girlfriend, Jadyn R. Watkins, 18, of Logan.

According to the report at the time, the two were believed to be traveling in a white Honda Civic with Ohio tags CTQ7361, and may have been going toward Kentucky or Missouri.

Major Scott Trussell said that the office is investigating every lead received and that anyone with information should contact the sheriff’s office at 740-992-3371. The sheriff’s office has been working with authorities in Logan on the case, as well as other agencies.

Both Xavier and Jadyn have been entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database as missing persons, and a case has been filed with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children for Xavier.
