ATHENS — The Eastern and Southeast Ohio Regional Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Councils and the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund invite Ohio organizations with creative and innovative marketing solutions to apply for funding to develop a public awareness campaign addressing the prevention of child abuse and neglect.

The Ohio Children’s Trust Fund is the state’s sole public funding source dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect. It works with eight regional prevention councils to serve all Ohio communities. Ohio University’s Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs is the coordinator for the Eastern and Southeast Ohio Regional Prevention Councils.

The Councils have issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the development and initial implementation of a universal child abuse and neglect prevention awareness campaign. The Eastern Region covers Belmont, Carroll, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Jefferson, Monroe, Muskingum, Noble, and Tuscarawas counties and the and Southeast Region covers Athens, Gallia, Hocking, Jackson, Lawrence, Meigs, Morgan, Perry, Pike, Ross, Scioto, Vinton, and Washington counties. The Regional Councils have up to $160,000 available for the development and initial implementation of the campaigns.
