The downstairs room of the 1828 Chester Courthouse was filled with people for the annual holiday observance which traditionally carries out the theme of an old fashion Christmas.

The tall evergreen tree was decorated with artificial fruits enhanced with strings tied into bows, entertainment was provided by the hand bell choir of Eastern High School directed by Chris Kuhn, and refreshments in keeping with earlier times were served by members of the Chester-Shade Historical Society.
