RACINE — Jack Lewis Wolfe, 78, Racine, passed away at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009, in the Kimes Nursing and Rehab Center, Athens, as a result of a massive stroke.

Born Nov. 15, 1930, in Antiquity, Ohio, he was the son of the late Robert W. and Myrtle Mae Pickens Wolfe. Jack was a retired mechanic, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was a past member of the Racine Post #602 of the American Legion.

Surviving is his son, Dennis (Cindy) Wolfe, Racine; daughter, Sandra Mitch, Scottsdale, Ariz.; special sister-in-law, Leota Wolfe, Racine; sister, Mary Kesterson, Pomeroy; five grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Wolfe, Paul Wolfe, Bobby Joe Wolfe, and by a brother in infancy.

In keeping with Jack’s wishes, he is to be cremated with no funeral services or visitation.
