West Virginia needs jobs, not new taxes. Well, I am sure the same goes for Ohio, Kentucky and any other state in the U.S.
The largest tax increase in the American history is how many experts describe the Cap and Trade bill which Congress has passed. Now is your opportunity to learn more about the bill and what you can do to make your voices heard before the Cap and Trade bill goes before the U.S. Senate.
There will be a Cap and Trade Town Hall meeting on Saturday, July 18, 2009, 10:30 a.m. until noon. The meeting is open to the public at the Cultural Center Theater at the West Virginia State Capitol Complex in Charleston.
Speakers discussing the Cap and Trade bill include Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito, Coach Don Nehlen, Charles Wilfong, president of the Farm Bureau, and others.
A West Virginians Against Cap and Trade Rally at the Capitol steps will follow the town hall meeting.
Those interested in attending should meet at the steps on the Capitol on the south side (river side) of the West Virginia State Capitol Complex. The event is sponsored by the West Virginia Conservative Foundation. For further information on the rally, go to www.wvconservatives.com.
Bring your whole family — your grandchildren will be paying for the Cap and Trade.
