Born Jan. 24, 1941, at Cabin Creek, W.Va., to the late Dennis and Ida Mae Estep Kirk, she was a homemaker and member of the Church of Jesus Christ, Ohley, W.Va.
She is survived by numerous cousins and a life-long friend, Sonja Paxton, Indiana.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Bowles, and two brothers, Harold and Carl Kirk.
Interment will be at Temple Cemetery, Albany, at a later date. There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are under the direction of Birchfield Funeral Home, Rutland.
