Tourism Expo set for Saturday

RIO GRANDE — The Fifth Annual Southeast Ohio Tourism Expo will be held this Saturday at the Lyne Center located on the University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College campus.

The tourism expo, hosted by the Gallia County Convention and Visitors’ Bureau will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and will feature exhibitors from Athens, Marietta, Cambridge/Guernsey, Morgan, Fairfield, Gallia, Pike, Ross, Meigs, Vinton, Buckeye Lake and Jackson, Ohio counties and Mason County, West Virginia.

The event will showcase the interests of these areas that are available to residents and visitors alike, including outdoor recreations, genealogy, shopping, dining, arts and theatre, homemade crafts and collectibles, Civil War history, education, museum and African American history.

The expo is free and open to the public. Visitors can also participate in a T-shirt toss and raffles and will have the chance to win door prizes and giveaways.
