One injured in Rutland area home invasion

RUTLAND TWP. — An alleged home invasion resulted in one person being transported to a local hospital on Thursday.

Meigs County Sheriff Keith Wood stated that a home invasion occurred on Hutton Road in Rutland Township on Thursday morning.

Deputies at the scene stated the victim was transported to Holzer Hospital in Gallipolis with injuries sustained in the incident.

The investigation is proceeding with assistance from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation.

I sure hope who ever went to the hospital in the Rutland home invasion was the person that broke into the house, that's exactly what he/she deserved.
