Point Pleasant senior Megan Davis — seated front and center — signed a letter of intent on Friday, Nov. 16, to continue her softball career at West Virginia State University in Institute, West Virginia. Davis, a three-year starter for the Lady Knights, signed with friends and family nearby in the PPHS library, then discussed what she liked about WVSU. “It was close to home and I just love their program. It’s a perfect blend of athletics and education, so it was a really easy choice,” Davis said. “I’m anxious and excited about this opportunity, but I am also glad to have this over with so that I can focus on playing softball my senior year at Point Pleasant.” Davis plans on majoring in Elementary/Early Child Education and is seated with her parents, Paula and Rob Davis of Leon, W.Va.
