MARIETTA — The District 18 Ohio Public Works Commission Liaison reminds potential applicants and interested parties that the deadline for submission of the Natural Resources Assistance Council grant applications is 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1.
Eligible projects include purchase of open space and the cost associated with making them accessible to the general public, protection of stream corridors, providing a wildlife habitat and reducing erosion.
Local governments, park and joint recreational districts, conservancy district, soil and water conservation districts and non-profit organizations with a purpose in conservation and/or preservation may apply, according to Michelle Hyer of Buckeye Hills Regional Development Commission.
