Bus accident investigated

POMEROY — Charges of failure to yield have been filed against a Meigs Local School District school bus driver as a result of an accident Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Union and Mulberry Avenue in Pomeroy.

According to the Pomeroy Police report, the bus, driven by Linda Harrison of Union Avenue, Pomeroy, was making a turn onto Mulberry Avenue when she struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Mikayla Schwerdeman of Beech Street, Pomeroy, causing minor bumper damage. There were no apparent injuries.

The report of the accident investigated by Officer Kyle Calendine, shows that there were 11 children on the bus at the time of the accident.
