GLENHAYES, W.Va. — The Point Pleasant volleyball team improved to 4-8 overall this season following a 25-20, 25-21, 25-23 victory over host Tolsia in a non-conference matchup in Wayne County.

The visiting Lady Knights snapped a two-match losing streak with the straight-game triumph, although the Lady Rebels lost by just 11 points total on the night.

Kaci Riffle led the Lady Knights’ service attack with 13 points, followed by Makennah Lewis with 10 points and Megan Davis with nine points. Brooke Entingh was next with seven points, while Hannah Smith and Charlie Leach both added six points apiece to the winning cause. Megan Bates also had four points for the guests.

Lewis had a team-best three aces for PPHS, while Riffle and Davis added two aces each. Karissa Cochran led the defense with 16 digs, while Entingh and Leach led the passing attack with seven and five assists, respectively.

Riffle and Davis led the net attack with seven kills apiece, while Riffle added a team-high four blocks. Bates added five kills to the winning cause, followed by Lewis, Leach and Smith with one kill each.
