RACINE, Ohio — The Southern football team picked up a 27-0 victory, its second straight shut out, on Saturday at Roger Lee Adams Memorial Field, knocking off Tri-Valley Conference Hocking Division guest Eastern in the season finale for both teams.

The Tornadoes (7-3, 5-3 TVC Hocking) scored a touchdown in each of the first two quarters and added two more in the third.

For the game, Southern outgained the Eagles by a 246-to-89 margin in total offense.

The Purple and Gold have now claimed three straight decisions in the battle of Meigs County schools.
