Roach waives extradition, will return to Meigs to face murder charges

POMEROY — A grand jury has rendered an indictment against Ernest M. Roach for the Aug. 10 death of Ericka Brown, 16, of Kanawha County, W.Va., according to a press release from the Meigs County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.The grand jury indicted Roach on one count of murder, two counts of compelling prostitution, two counts of tampering with evidence and one count of gross abuse of a corpse.The murder charge carries a mandatory sentence of 15 years to life, according to the release.
