POMEROY — About 50 children from infant through three years old were entered in the annual Pretty Baby contest held at the Meigs County Fair.

Out-of-county judges found it no easy task to select the prettiest boy and the prettiest girl in each of the six age categories. Something new this year was one tiny contestant, just four days old.

Again this year the Home National Bank sponsored the contest and awarded $25 Walmart gift cards to each of the blue ribbon winners. All of the children participating received a green participation ribbon.
