Dear Editor,
This summer of 2012 should be sufficient evidence to persuade skeptics that climate change is a reality. Literally thousands of heat records were broken in our country alone.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration notes that the spring of 2012 “marked the largest temperature departure from average of any season on record for the contiguous United States.”
As Leonardo da Vinci observed, Nature doesn’t break her own laws. Unfortunately, human beings do — with droughts, wildfires and other grief as consequences.
