OPEN POETRY READING Sarah Green will be the featured poet at the February presentation of the Athens Poetry Group, to be held from 7:00 – 9:00 PM, Monday, February 25, 2013, at Conference Room C in the Athens Community Center, 701 E. State St., Athens, OH. Free and Open to the Public. Sarah Green lives in Athens, Ohio, where she is a doctoral candidate in Creative Writing at Ohio University. Her work has appeared in Best New Poets 2012, Mid-American Review, FIELD, Gettysburg Review, H-ngm-n, Forklift Ohio, Inter/rupture, Leveler, Cortland Review, Redivider, the 2009 Pushcart Prize Anthology, and elsewhere. A singer-songwriter whose debut Americana record, "Climb", was released in 2011, Sarah is also an ongoing teen poetry facilitator at Medicine Wheel in South Boston. In addition to the featured presentations, there will be an “open mic” offered to all those in the audience who have their own poetry to share.
