Patrick Swaney will be the featured poet at the January presentation of the Athens Poetry Group, to be held from 7:00 – 9:00 PM, Monday, January 28, 2012, at Conference Room C in the Athens Community Center, 701 E. State St., Athens, OH. Free and Open to the Public. Patrick Swaney's writing has recently appeared in Conduit, Inch, Indiana Review, NANO Fiction, Redivider, and elsewhere. He earned an MFA from the University of North Carolina Wilmington where he also worked as the poetry editor of Ecotone. He lives in Athens, OH and is pursuing a PhD in poetry at Ohio University.    In addition to the featured presentations, there will be an “open mic” offered to all those in the audience who have their own poetry to share.
