RIO GRANDE — The Meigs Local Elementary After-School Kids Program was recognized by the Ohio School Boards Association on March 4 at the spring conference in Rio Grande for having an outstanding program.

Meigs Local School District shared this after-school program during the 15th annual Student Achievement Fair on Nov. 12, at the 2013 Ohio School Boards Association Capital Conference and Trade Show. OSBA showcased 100 innovative programs at this year’s fair, held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in downtown Columbus.

Meigs Local’s ASK Program was selected to participate based upon its program’s creativity and positive impact on student achievement.

Students and staff from districts across the state exhibited their innovative programs at the fair. The event offered an opportunity to observe and learn what public school districts in Ohio are doing to enhance learning and achievement in their schools.
