TUPPERS PLAINS — New members were formally inducted into the Eastern High School National Honor Society during a recent ceremony held at the school.


The student body, as well as friends and family of current National Honor Society members and the candidates for induction, were in attendance.


National Honor Society officers spoke to the audience about the four pillars on which National Honor Society is founded — Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Character.


Following the speeches, the tapping of new members took place, followed by the reciting of the National Honor Society pledge and congratulatory remarks by Eastern High School Principal Shawn Bush and the National Honor Society advisor Sam Thompson. There was a reception following the ceremony.


New members include Latham Bissell, Dakota O’Brien, Abby Collins, Kristen King, Lindsay Hupp and Meloney Victory.
