Girl Scouts recognized for fair projects


ROCKSPRINGS — Several Meigs County Girl Scouts were recently honored for their fair projects.

Troop 1006 of multi group of Daisy and Brownie troops earned five Blue Ribbons and one Red Ribbon at the Ohio State Fair in money management with scout bucks; recycled piggy banks; year in review photo collage; service projects; ceremonies and decorated clothing of tie dye shirts.

Troop 1006 consists of Gracie Barton, Haylee Stout, Vivian Allen, Ashlyn Bradford, Olivia Dill, Courtlynn Varian, McKenzie Cogar, Lily Stewart; Isabella Morrison, Sammie Morris, Kailey Aldridge. Leaders are Jerrena Dill, Bridget Barton, Lindsey Putnam Linda Putman.

Girl Scout Fair Exhibit winners were announced by Jerrena Dill and Ashley Buchanan Co-Superintendents of the Meigs County Girl Scout Fair Committee.

The following girls were chosen as Outstanding Exhibitors in their level for the 2017 year:

Daisy — Jordyn McKinney

Brownie — Haylee Stout

Junior — Faith Roush

Cadette — Samantha Eblin

Senior — Hannah Damewood
