COLUMBUS — All four members of the Meigs High School girls 4×100 meter relay team which competed at the state meet this past weekend have earned Academic All-Ohio honors.

Taylor Swartz, Devyn Oliver, Sky Brown and Kassidy Betzing were recognized by the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches for their academic and athletic achievements.

To receive the award, an athlete must qualify as a individual or as a member of a relay team for the state meet, must carry a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and be at least a sophomore.

The relay team advanced to the finals in their event, finishing eighth with a school-record time of 49.93 seconds.

Betzing also placed second in the long jump competition.
