ROCKSPRINGS — Ohio’s current Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor, who recently announced her intent to run for governor in 2018, will be the keynote speaker at the annual Meigs County Republican Party’s Lincoln Day Dinner.
The dinner will be held on Thursday, March 23 at 6 p.m. at Meigs High School. Other state and local officials are expected to be in attendance, in addition to Taylor.
Taylor, 51, was sworn in as Ohio’s 65th Lieutenant Governor on Jan. 10, 2011, the same day Governor John R. Kasich named her to lead CSI Ohio, the “Common Sense Initiative” to reform Ohio’s regulatory policies, as well as to serve as the director of the Ohio Department of Insurance.
Taylor has also served as a State Representative and the State Auditor.
Taylor is a life-long resident of northeast Ohio where she lives with her husband, Don, and their sons, Michael and Joe.
