SYRACUSE — A Syracuse woman is in custody after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend on Monday evening.
According to a news release from the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office, Sgt. Curtis Jones and Deputy Jeff Perry responded to the TNT gas station in Syracuse around 8:10 p.m. on Monday where they located the victim.
The victim advised officers that he and his girlfriend, Paulena Yost, 20, had been having an argument when the alleged stabbing took place. The two reside on Sixth Street in Syracuse.
The victim was able to leave and get to the TNT gas station to call for help.
He sustained injuries to his back and was transported by Meigs County EMS to the Holzer Emergency Room for treatment.
In addition, Child Protective Services was contacted, as a child was in the residence at the time of the incident. The child was placed with a grandparent.
Yost was arrested and incarcerated in the Middleport Jail, charged with aggravated assault, a fourth-degree felony, waiting for arraignment in the Meigs County Court.
