Family Dollar now open in Rutland

RUTLAND — Family Dollar is now open in Rutland.

The new store held its official grand opening on Saturday, Sept. 16 after a soft opening on Sept. 7 and official first day of Sept. 14.

While the store address is 647 Main Street, Middleport, the store is actually located in the village of Rutland near the intersection of Main Street (State Route 124) and Depot Street.

“Family Dollar continues to grow and we’re thrilled to bring our wide assortment and great values to Middleport,” said Heather Briganti, Family Dollar spokesperson. “We are proud to be part of the community and are looking forward to our grand opening.”

The grand opening included giveaways and prizes, including a Coby Bluetooth speaker and a drone, as well as gift cards for the first 50 customers.

Family Dollar stores are open seven days a week and offer everyday items for the entire family in an easy-to-shop neighborhood location.
