MIDDLEPORT — The fathers who attend the First Baptist Church of Middleport, and their guests, were served breakfast on Saturday, June 17, in the Fellowship Hall by the ladies of the church.
Those attending were Pastor Billy Zuspan, sons William, Wyatt, and Bryce and William’s daughter, Hampton, Roger Dingey, Craig Wehrung and grandsons, Derrick Metheney and Jaykob Eplion, Pastor Mark Morrow (former pastor of First Baptist), Jim Lucas, Matt Lyons and daughter, Aubree, Jeff Shank and son, Jordan, Lawrence Eblin and grandson, Jeff Horner, and Jon Fisher and son, Jonathan.
Ladies of the church who cooked the breakfast included Trudy Lyons, Lori Zuspan, Wanda Shank, Venedia McCloud, Debbie Dingey, and Texanna Wehrung. Other ladies who also helped by sending food or supplies were Penny Fisher, Coke Ambrose, Sis Van Matre, Norma Wilcox, and Diane Zirkle.
Lori Zuspan honored the fathers who were in the Sunday Morning Worship Service on Father’s Day with what those attending called “a wonderful presentation” with “five special gifts” given to Pastor Billy, Sunday School teacher Jon Fisher, Jr. Church Youth Leader Matt Lyons, the senior father in attendance Lawrence Eblin, and Jeff Shank. Coupons for a free sundae at the Dairy Queen were given to each man in attendance.
