Hemlock Grange holds June meeting

HEMLOCK GROVE — Hemlock Grange met for its June meeting. Kim Romine, master, opened the meeting with prayer, flag presentation and patriotic song played on the piano by Ann Lambert.

Discussion was held on the state quilt block. There are two different places and dates. Opal Dyer will check and get back to the grange.

Janice Weber, Deaf Chairman, gave a report on deafness. She handed out a paper on sign language words, a true and false on deaf awareness, a word scramble that used letters to find the answer to the puzzle “learn to sign.” She read safe ways to clean your ears. Also, guidelines for talking with a hard of hearing person were given to end the program.

Family activities chairperson Adell White reminded members to be working on things for the grange booth at the fair. She announced the member for the July meeting, all kinds of salads. The next night (Friday) Hemlock will host Pamona Grange.
